Mike just won the top scorer and all-star attackman at the 1997 Varsity Provincial Championships. He helped lead his team to the Silver medal at the tournament.
Mike Fernquist is what every coach desires in an attackman. Size, fierceness and skill. Mike's 6' 4", 220 pound frame puts him in good stead around the front of the crease. His stick skills are honed from playing tough box lacrosse since he was five year's old. Mike's naturally combative style allows him to use his size and skills to effectiveness as an attackman.
Mike's abilities have helped the Tri-City Adanacs finish 2nd in the 1996 Canadian Championships. The Adanacs are also 4-year winners of the B.C. Provincial Championships. Their record includes two losses in the past 4 years.
Mike also plays box lacrosse for the Port Coquitlam Saints of the BC Junior 'A' league. Mike's enthusiasm, size and skill make him a favourite with coaches, teammates and fans.
Mike has just decided to continue his education and is looking to further his lacrosse career at the same time. After taking a year off after graduation, Mike is completing his SAT's and hoping to go to a US college in September of 1997. He was an honor roll student and is looking to major in Psychology.
