Victoria North and Tri-City Gold win titles
U-16 B - In the U-16 B Division the Tri-Cities Gold (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody) team won the Gold Medal in a hard fought two goal victory over South Fraser. This game went down to the wire with South Fraser applying pressure to the very end while Tri Cities played a man down. This game was an appropriate finish to a well played and competitive tournament. All the participating teams should feel proud for the fine display of effort, skill and fairplay. The Bronze Medal was won by North Fraser over Tri Cities Blue by a 10-9 score in another extremely competitive game.
In the U-19 tournament, Victoria True North won a fierce battle in the final against North Fraser by a score of 11-6. North
Fraser recovered from a lopsided round robin loss to Victoria to play the most exciting game of the tournament. Particular credit must go to the North Fraser goaltender Tom Johnson who was enormous in the the loss. The Bronze medal was awarded to the Ladner squad. All the players are thanked for their participation and the commitment shown by persevering through some trying conditions to make it to the tournament.
